News: 1 dead, 1 injured after vehicle hits parked car in McCully
Police said the driver was heading eastbound on Bingham Street Sept. 1 at about 11:50 p.m. when the vehicle sideswiped a parked, unoccupied vehicle. The impact caused the first parked vehicle to crash into a second parked and unoccupied vehicle and a fire hydrant, while causing the driver's vehicle to overturn.
The driver, a 26-year-old woman, was transported by EMS to an area hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. A 25-year-old female passenger was taken to the hospital and was listed in critical condition.
Two other passengers, a 25-year-old woman and a juvenile girl, were not injured.
The driver and the girl were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident, while the two 25-year-olds were not.
There was no immediate word on whether speed, drugs or alcohol contributed to the fatal crash.
