News: Collision in Pearl City driveway leaves driver critically injured
According to the Honolulu Police Department, the accident took place Sept. 4 at about 1:40 p.m. on Waimano Home Road.
A preliminary investigation determined that a 45-year-old woman was driving north on the roadway when she made a left turn into a driveway and collied with another vehicle attempting to exit the driveway.
Paramedics rushed the 45-year-old to an area hospital, where she was listed in critical condition. The other driver, a 30-year-old woman, was not injured and stayed at the scene.
Investigators do not believe speed was a contributing factor in the crash, but it was not yet known whether drugs or alcohol were involved.
