The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports the collision happened Sept. 4 on Farrington Highway near Waianae Valley Road shortly before 9 p.m. Police said a woman was walking in the roadway outside of a marked crosswalk when she was struck by a westbound vehicle.  The pedestrian was transported by EMS crews to an area hospital, where she was listed in serious condition. The unidentified motorist kept going westbound on Farrington Highway without stopping to help or provide any information. HONOLULU, HI - A motorcycle and a vehicle were involved in a fatal collision in Honolulu early Tuesday morning, the Honolulu Star-Advertiser reported. Police and emergency crews responded to the wreck in the westbound lanes of the H-1 Freeway near the Honolulu airport at about 12:10 a.m. According to police, a motorcyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the bike near Ohohia Street and the airport off-ramp at Exit 16A.  The motorcycle crashed into the back of a vehicle and the rider was ejected onto the roadway. The motorcyclist, a 23-year-old man, was pronounced dead after being taken to an area hospital.  He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The driver of the vehicle, a 47-year-old man, was hospitalized in serious condition. Investigators said speed was a contributing factor in the wreck. HONOLULU, HI - Two vehicles collided in a private driveway in Pearl City, leaving one of the drivers critically injured. According to the Honolulu Police Department, the accident took place Sept. 4 at about 1:40 p.m. on Waimano Home Road. A preliminary investigation determined that a 45-year-old woman was driving north on the roadway when she made a left turn into a driveway and collied with another vehicle attempting to exit the driveway. Paramedics rushed the 45-year-old to an area hospital, where she was listed in critical condition. The other driver, a 30-year-old woman, was not injured and stayed at the scene.
